Lee Perry -- A part of the original 2008 cast of
Black Elk Speaks, Lee Perry is a teacher,
student, and mother.  She finds community
theater to be a creative and fun outlet.  Working
with Hamilton Community Theatre has been an
inspiring experience.

An avid reader, Lee has spent the last year
reading about and researching many of the
historic figures and events in this moving drama.
Black Elk Speaks has sparked a keen interest in,
and empathy for, the Native American viewpoint.
She hopes that the audience will be as
enlightened and emotionally stirred by this
moving production as she has been.  Both Lee
and her daughter, Leela (also in this production),
are direct descendants of Chief John Ross.

Lee is passionate about children with special
needs and their families.  Her specific study focus
is autism spectrum disorders, but her students
and teaching experience encompass other
learning (dis)abilities, as well.  Her goal is to
enable each child to be successful.

A secret rebel at heart, Lee is a fan of early
Beatles and Stones music, history, and the beach.
