While this is Andrew’s debut with
Hamilton Community Theatre, he has
studied theatre arts since 2002 and has
acted in numerous Youth Theatre
productions at the Chattanooga Theatre
Centre. Some of his productions include
The Velveteen Rabbit, The Odyssey, and
Henry and Ramona. His favorite roles
have been Peter in The Lion, the Witch,
and the Wardrobe and Quince in A
Midsummer Night’s Dream. In addition to
acting he has assisted with lights and
sound on several shows and served as
Stage Manager for A Winnie the Pooh
Christmas Tail and was the Assistant
Director of Sleeping Beauty.
Additionally, Andrew serves in
Chattanooga Theatre Center’s Theatre
Quest, an organization for teens
interested in theatre. Some of his
endeavors with them have been the
Hunter Project, in which youth compose
and perform complements to works of
art at the Hunter Museum of Art. Then,
he volunteers each Christmas with them
as an Elf at the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
When Andrew is not involved in
theatrical pursuits, he is active in the
Boy Scouts of America, where he is
nearing completion of his Eagle Scout
rank. In his troop, he has served in
several leadership roles such as Patrol
Leader, Scribe, Senior Patrol Leader, and
OA Representative. Elected to the BSA
Order of the Arrow, he holds
Brotherhood membership and performs
with their Ceremony Team that serves
locally and competes regionally and
nationally.
Since Andrew enjoys hiking and the
outdoors, he just completed a 75-mile
backpacking trek at Philmont Scout
Ranch in New Mexico, the highlight of
his boy scouting adventure, so far!
A junior in school, Andrew enjoys
history, government, and Latin. When he
graduates from high school he hopes to
continue studying theatre.
